Voice Acting for Kids
with Sally Clawson

Sunday, August 25, 2019

In this one-day class for kids ages 10-17, you will explore the fun and challenging world of voice acting for animation, video games, and anime.

Sally Clawson, who has voiced characters in the Lego IndianaJones series, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Monkey Island 2, and is the current owner and head of Training at Voice One in San Francisco, will walk you through the acting skills, script analysis, and microphone technique of the incredible and spontaneous world of voice acting.

You’ll even walk away with a short audio clip of yourself voicing a character to take home and show off to family and friends! Students will also receive a certificate of completion.

This camp is great for students who are interested in acting, theatre, cartoons, anime, or video games, (or all of the above), or anyone who isn’t afraid to have fun making funny voices. So come and discover the characters within you, whether they are a warrior, super-hero, goblin, wizard, super smart save-the-world nerd, princess, cowboy, hero, villain, or the emperor of flame world!

No prior acting experience required. Limited to 15 students.
Lunch and snacks will be provided.

What will your day look like?

You’ll start the day off with acting and vocal warm ups, learn microphone technique, work on technique drills, and learn character voice creation.

After lunch, you’ll then get hands-on practice as you work on scripted and non-scripted scenes. And choose a character voice to record! We'll email you and your parents a mp3 copy of the character you create.
