We absolutely adore Cissy Jones! Not only is she a phenomenal voice actor, but she is also a kind and supportive teacher to student actors, and to us that means the world.
Cissy's path to VO stardom was certainly non-traditional, and stands as a testament to following our dreams and taking the opportunities life puts in front of us to help turn those dreams into realities. Her love of the art is infectious, and her vision for where we can steer the industry with regards to representation as well as depth in the stories we get to tell is inspiring. On top of all this, Cissy keeps the expectations of voice actors who are just starting out grounded, acknowledging this industry is competitive and actors have to invest time, energy, and money to make a path for themselves.
Below we have two interviews with Cissy, talking about her VO career, insights, and advice for actors. Watch and read them both to learn more about her and edify yourself!
(P.S. Cissy has been updating her Instagram stories for with inspiring Women cultural leaders for the month of March. Make sure to follow her there to see them all!)
